The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal sector raises significant concerns about judicial decision-making. The research demonstrated that, despite the rapid evolution of AI and its integration into everyday aspects such as online services and searches, its application in the Judiciary presents unique challenges. The implementation of AI can speed up judicial provision, as evidenced by the Victor project at the Federal Supreme Court, but it can also introduce risks of hidden bias, replicating human prejudices. It is essential that AI is used with caution, as a support tool that offers information to judges, maintaining the human aspect in decisions to ensure compliance with the fundamental principles of the legal process. The research concludes that specific regulation is crucial to ensure that automation does not compromise the rights of individuals and the transparency of judicial decisions, promoting a balance between technological efficiency and the protection of fundamental rights.
