The following article aims to report on the experience of the psychology student's observation process in caring for the elderly through the supervised internship and intervention proposal, carried out in 2024 in a long-term care facility for the elderly (ILPI). The supervised curricular internship provided psychology students with an enriching and immensely transformative experience, not only for the interns, but also for the institution that welcomed them and understood the need to assist in the process of training new professionals. By promoting a critical reflection on reception, attention and especially empathy in the face of care for the elderly.
