Abstract

Understanding the process of education within institutions and how teachers are facing this new reality is the main objective of this work, which will discuss generations and liquid modernity, defined by Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman, and how the school environment needs to move forward with students throughout their basic education. Knowing how to differentiate solid modernity from liquid modernity is essential to understanding social progress. In addition, the work is based on a bibliographic analysis of topics that discuss education in times of liquidity, characterizing the research as qualitative. Finally, education needs to reinvent itself and intellectuals in this society need to keep up with this evolution, changing thoughts and methodologies, understanding the student as an individual and multitasking being. Along with this, the school needs to be a place of support and develop the necessary tools for such progress, thus ensuring equity and equality within it.
