Since their inception, science fairs have become an important educational space for students to develop different skills. In this context, a state school in the municipality of Sobral-CE held a fair called "Só Química," focused on the student as a researcher and author of their own learning. The objective is to verify and analyze the perception of participating students regarding the contributions of this science fair. To this end, a field study was conducted with a Chemistry teacher and 32 third-year students, where the study results showed that, on average, 73% of the students learned through experiments, clarified doubts, or even improved group work, demonstrating that the use of practice combined with theory significantly enhanced their learning. Thus, it is concluded that the science fair played a relevant role in the students' education, strengthening their learning and expanding their knowledge.
