Abstract

Nowadays, it is necessary to consider Environmental Education as a fundamental factor for the formation of a conscious, participatory and collaborative human being with the reality in which he/she is inserted. This article aims to highlight issues related to the environmental problems faced today, in a way that reflects the need to develop actions that aim at new practices in an attempt to take care of planet Earth. According to the discussion of the concepts of Environmental Education, Early Childhood Education and with reflections on the importance of sustainability and the role of the teacher in the formation of values ​​in the childhood phase, which will be part of the other phases of the human being's life. This article is the result of a bibliographic research where articles on the aforementioned theme were analyzed.
