In the educational landscape, contemporary teaching is a constantly evolving field of study, driven by the intersection between advanced pedagogical theories and the complex demands of modern society. In this context, meaningful learning emerges as an approach that goes beyond mere memorization, emphasizing deep understanding and practical application of knowledge. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a pedagogical approach using word clouds in teaching genetics content in high school. The methodology involved the implementation of the intervention activity titled "Genetic Cloud: A Journey Through the Words of Heredity," covering the topic of introduction to genetics. Based on the analyses conducted and the results obtained, it is evident that the methodological approach had a positive impact on the assessed aspects, as scientific concepts were explored through students' empirical knowledge, resulting in greater engagement in the learning process.
