PSYCHOMOTRICITY AS AN INSTRUMENT IN THE LITERACY PROCESS

When interacting with the environment, children experience desires, feelings and needs that are added to as the adult provides them with the conditions to explore everything around them, acting according to their interests. This conquest of space by the child will support them in better understanding their body and their movement abilities. All this stimulation, in addition to enabling motor adaptation, also favors the work of real psychomotor development. Given the importance of psychomotor action on the organization of the child's personality, it is essential for educational work to promote better development of their potential, taking into account the proposed objectives and the activities related to the age that best suit their characteristics. This essay presents a brief approach to psychomotor skills and psychomotor education as an ally in the literacy process.
