This article addresses school inclusion as a means to promote equitable education, ensuring access to all students, regardless of their individual circumstances. The research explores the challenges and perspectives for implementing inclusive and equitable education in Brazilian schools. To this end, it uses bibliographic research methodology, analyzes physical, attitudinal, and institutional barriers, as well as practices and policies that aim to provide an inclusive school. The theoretical basis highlights the importance of assistive technology and ongoing teacher training to promote inclusion. The main results indicate that, despite advances in public policies, there are still significant challenges to be overcome, such as inadequate infrastructure and prejudice. The literature review reveals that inclusive pedagogical practices, such as instructional differentiation and collaborative teaching, in addition to the use of assistive technologies, are essential for inclusion. Furthermore, ongoing teacher training is crucial to implement these practices. Finally, the article explains that school inclusion requires concrete actions and effective policies, highlighting the need for continued commitment and adequate resources to ensure a fair and equitable educational environment for all.
