Teacher training in Brazil faces complex challenges in a context of rapid social, technological and economic transformations. This article critically analyzes this scenario, exploring both obstacles and emerging opportunities. Examine contemporary challenges, such as misaligned curricula and teachers' mental health, and the potential of digital technologies in promoting inclusive education. The study also delves into the growing importance of socio-emotional and cultural skills, essential in such a diverse country. Finally, we analyze how innovative public policies and intersectoral partnerships are redesigning teacher training. The research reveals that, although the challenges are substantial, creative initiatives in technology, emotional well-being, cultural sensitivity and multisectoral collaboration are changing the preparation of educators, paving the way for equitable and humane education in Brazil.
