This article addresses the issue of the inclusion of people with visual impairments in the labour market, with the aim of presenting guidelines for preparing and integrating these individuals into the labour market in an effective and inclusive way. To this end, a bibliographical survey was carried out, using works that discuss the issue of inclusion, visual impairment and the labour market. The results show that, despite advances in legislation guaranteeing the rights of people with disabilities, there is still a major barrier to their inclusion in the labour market. Companies' lack of knowledge about the capacity and potential of these individuals is one of the main obstacles to hiring them. In addition, the lack of effective public policies that encourage and promote inclusion in the labour market is also an obstacle. In view of this, it can be said that in order to effectively include visually impaired people in the labour market, a joint effort is needed from the responsible bodies, companies and society in general. In addition, investing in specific training programmers for this public is a way of preparing them for the job market and increasing their chances of being included. It can therefore be concluded that the inclusion of visually impaired people in the labour market is a process that involves changes in mentality, effective public policies and investment in training.
