Abstract

The main approach of this article is to examine the adoption of sustainability, environmental and governance (ESG) policies in a company in the construction sector in Palmas-TO. This study employs case study methodology with a descriptive approach of a qualitative nature. To this end, an analysis was carried out of the Sustainability Report for the year 2023 released in march 2024, which provided detailed information on the application of ESG policies. The environmental pillar covers several strategies for preserving the environment, its components and natural resources, in addition to reducing pollution, degradation and environmental impacts in its operations. The social pillar focuses on people and society, recognizing that sustainable companies need the support of their employees, customers, stakeholders and the community in which they operate. The governance pillar covers corporate management practices, highlighting transparency, justice and ethics in the organization's internal processes. When analyzing these areas, it became clear that the company is clear about its priority areas of action, increasingly assuming a leadership role in the business sector, and encouraging its team, business partners and the sector as a whole to engage in the topic.
