The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly reshaped the educational landscape, leading to widespread adoption of remote education. This study examines the challenges faced by teachers in this context and explores the integration of technology into their professional practices. Through interviews with two teachers from different subject areas and grade levels, we delve into issues related to technology-mediated teaching and learning processes. Supported by relevant theoretical frameworks, we emphasize the crucial role of teachers in fostering student intellectual autonomy. However, addressing challenges—such as the lack of continuous teacher training and the need for school investments to keep pace with technological advancements—is essential. This study contributes to understanding the complexities of remote education and the role of technology in educators’ daily lives, providing insights into their practical experiences.
