Abstract

The education of autistic children presents several obstacles to be overcome, which this research seeks to understand. Thus, this article, divided into two main parts, first aims to understand what autism is by defining it and examining the current regulations on the inclusion of autistic individuals in the school environment. The second half succinctly addresses inclusion based on the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education, highlighting the main challenges encountered in the process of including autistic students in the classroom.
