The teaching of Embryology contains a large number of technical terms, which can hinder the understanding of embryonic stages. The use of educational games and visual materials is an alternative to better comprehend these embryonic phases. Investigating and applying active teaching methodologies, focusing on the use of educational games and visual resources, aims to enhance the teaching-learning process of embryology. The content was divided and presented in two moments. In the first moment, a puzzle about cell divisions was elaborated, and in the second, a board game focused on Spermatogenesis and Oogenesis themes took place. The use of differentiated pedagogical strategies, such as creating a puzzle and a board game, demonstrates an effort to make the teaching-learning process more dynamic and engaging. These approaches aim not only for cognitive development but also for a concrete improvement in the assimilation of the proposed content. The importance of these methods became evident when designing an activity to be presented to students, making them more advantageous for content retention.
