THE ROLE OF THE NURSE IN ADDRESSING OBSTETRIC VIOLENCE

The prenatal consultation in primary care aims to monitor pregnancies at normal risk, therefore, the professional nurse is responsible for the consultations, for all monitoring during the pregnancy process, this includes reception, guidance, request for laboratory tests as well as carrying out physical examinations, among other activities to ensure a safe pregnancy. Materials and Methods: This is a bibliographic literature search, with the main sources; books, magazines and scientific articles, searches were carried out in literature bases such as Scielo, Ministry of Health, World Health Organization (WHO), Virtual Health Library, Primary Care Notebook, and Women's Handbook. Results: The nurse, in addition to providing reception and care, is responsible for the entire process of women's well-being in one of the most important stages of their lives, thus demonstrating a holistic and humanized vision, emphasizing its importance in society.
