The technology theme is relevant in generations marked by the use of this energetic tool in accessing information. Technology marks the historical context and has a direct impact on behavior. Generations like the Y (Millennial) and Z are marked by the continuous development of technology, while in turn generations like the Baby Boomers and the X witnessed the technological fuse and are now surprised by the continuous advancement of technology. In addition to these issues, there are other relevant differences in understanding the dynamics of these generations. While technology walks constantly, the teacher's role is to train continuously, through updating and continuing education proposed by Perrenoud, technology can be an allied tool in the teaching-learning process, however it is necessary to understand that for this there will be personal, professional and institutional challenges. Technology allows instant access to a series of information and knowledge, however with the same speed that these can be acquired they can also be discarded, thus constituting one of the most relevant challenges in educational practice, to generate knowledge and relevant and reliable information.
