Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the training of teachers in Brazil to work in inclusive education in schools. Throughout our study, portrayed here, we point out the difficulties that arise in the teacher training process, citing the evolution of this process, from the creation of the Instituto dos Meninos Cegos to the current scenario that requires a teacher increasingly attentive to the needs of its students, with the increasing demand of students with disabilities who live with other children in the same school environment and an academy that trains professionals capable of facing these difficulties. In addition to the conditions imposed on these professionals, the lack of public policies on the part of those in government are obstacles that prevent more efficient work.
