This research arises from the scarcity of scientific publications in Psychology focused on longevity. Based on the question: "Does the Psychology course change the students' view of longevity?" data were collected by raising the profile of Psychology students (n= 73) and their perceptions about the theme. An online questionnaire with 26 descriptive and assimilative questions, investigating the academic understanding of longevity, as well as a curricular analysis of the offer of courses on longevity were carried out. The results presented show that the lack of disciplines addressing the theme does not influence the change of students' view on the subject, even though those who have taken the discipline or its division into Adult Life and Longevity have presented changes in their view on the subject, proving the need for the discipline in Psychology undergraduate courses. leading to greater professional preparation and improving the vision consistent with the process and the care provided to this population.
