This scientific research aims to elucidate the consequences of the failures and challenges of the Brazilian social security system in the inclusion of vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and informal workers. The analysis will focus on social security legislation, especially Law No. 8,212/1991, evaluating its effectiveness in promoting social justice and reducing inequalities. The methodology used will be bibliographic, combining the review of academic literature with the documentary analysis of social security regulations. Contributions from various authors addressing this topic will be considered, seeking to understand how current legislation impacts access to social security benefits and what measures can be implemented to make the system more inclusive and efficient. Additionally, the research will analyze existing public policies and the practical implementation of these regulations, identifying main shortcomings and proposing solutions to enhance social protection for the most vulnerable groups. In conclusion, although the current social security legislation presents several flaws that hinder the access of vulnerable groups to their rights, there are possible strategies and measures to improve efficiency and inclusion in the Brazilian social security system.
