One of the most discussed topics in society is in relation to criminal acts committed by teenagers. Many of these individuals have been committing various crimes over the last few years that end up affecting the social order. However, as important as discussing the nature of an infraction is analyzing the effectiveness of socio-educational measures. The measures are found in the Child and Adolescent Statute (1990), which addresses, among other issues, the penalties imposed by law on young offenders. This article aims to discuss the effectiveness of socio-educational measures in the world of infractions. The methodology is based on a bibliographical review, based on scientific articles, books, periodicals and current legislation on the respective topic. Data collection will be carried out through databases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, among others, from 2018 to 2022.
