This text presents a critical-reflexive analysis of the formative applicability of the topic Health and Safety at Work (OSH) in a public school in the Paraná State Network. These are the results arising from the extension project called PET Ação, which is one of the proposals for the annual planning of the Tutorial Education Program of the Pedagogy course at the State University of Maringá (UEM). The project aims to provide Petians with access to knowledge about different topics that are not included in the course's curriculum and/or are little explored. We expose the importance of the Tutorial Education Program for the training of future pedagogues, we explain the need to take the OSH theme to the pedagogical training of education professionals, in the family-school relationship and students. Finally, we broaden the understanding of the topic, in order to explain the importance of this topic being addressed in schools.
