Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease, characterized as a public health problem with increasing prevalence in recent years, affecting people of all ages around the world. In addition to all the common problems related to diabetes, this disease is also favorable for neuropathies and vasculopathy, especially in elderly people. The objective of this study was to describe complications related to elderly diabetics, such as neuropathy and vasculopathy. To this end, a bibliographical review will be used to carry out the theoretical survey of this, which covers all studies made public, namely: articles, books, annals, magazines, theses, among others, dated from 2011 to 2023. Considering the growing prevalence of diabetes and the aging of the population, it is concluded that the validation of this study can result in more effective and targeted approaches for the prevention and management of the implications of diabetes in the elderly, contributing to the improvement of public health and the quality of life of this population vulnerable.
