The Covid-19 pandemic was a surprising event that claimed many lives around the world and caused a significant impact on the mental health of a considerable part of the population, especially those who lost friends and family due to this pandemic. The objective is to understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of the bereaved population. The method used in this article was a literature review based on scientific articles on this topic, available on the web. The results showed that the Covid-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the mental health of the bereaved, especially women, increasing anxiety, stress and psychological pain . In this sense, psychologists played a fundamental role in supporting families, helping to accept grief and emotional management during this challenging period. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound and global impact, affecting the bereaved and highlighting our vulnerability in the face of pandemic crises. Psychotherapists faced the challenge of dealing with this unprecedented psychic pain, seeking to contribute to the emotional healing of those suffering from grief.
