In this article, we discuss technology as a natural action of humanity and a reflection of its development, being present in all human actions, whether in the form of tools, thoughts, or attitudes, and man's ability to deal with the environment in which he lives. However, it is in education that the necessary restraints and brakes are found for the consolidation of this process, while at the same time propelling it forward. The article also reflects on the dependency on technology that became evident during the pandemic, which simultaneously exposed the chasm between socioeconomic realities, especially in the educational world where the stark difference in resources was the main obstacle to learning construction during this difficult period for our generation. Thus, we were able to compare the opinions of two teachers, one newly qualified and the other with more experience, both from a state school in the interior of Pernambuco, to understand how they deal with the advancement of technological tools in the classroom and how they use them. In this reflection, we noticed the difficulties in ensuring learning for students during the pandemic, mainly, and the challenge for all involved, not only due to the lack of equipment and sometimes even access to the internet, but also listing factors that come from their training as teachers. Finally, the need to establish alternatives and effective resources to try to recover lost time and learning is evident. Without losing sight of the past, it is essential that the teacher appropriates new technologies and energizes their classes in a way that narrows their language to that of the students to promote learning in its complete form, because the world we live in today lacks boldness and new perspectives, and it is in school that this process must begin.
