This study explored how gamification can impact educational practices in public preschools, focusing on its role in improving the quality of education. The research was motivated by the central question of how gamification, when integrated into educational processes, can improve teaching and learning. The main objective was to evaluate the implementation of gamification and its potential to generate a more attractive and efficient learning environment. A detailed analysis of the literature, based on key theorists in the field, revealed that gamification can be a valuable tool for stimulating student engagement and fostering the development of cognitive, social and emotional skills. However, the research also pointed to significant obstacles, including the need for appropriate technological resources and specific training for educators. The conclusions highlighted that the success of gamification in children's educational environments is conditioned by several aspects, such as institutional engagement in teachers' professional development, investments in technological infrastructure, and the customization of gamification activities to meet students' demands. It is suggested that future studies be carried out focused on practical cases of gamification, with the aim of discovering the most effective practices and the challenges encountered when adopting such a pedagogical approach, directing the management of educational quality through innovation and pedagogical commitment.
