The objective of this work was to highlight the importance of democratic school management, within the secondary objectives: to verify the social function of the school, to contextualize school and democratic management, and to observe the context of the pedagogical team. Therefore, it consists of a bibliographic review of a qualitative approach on the subject. The importance of the research is related to knowledge in the positive points for good school management, as well as organizing the activities of teachers and the educational institution as a whole. This work is also justified by understanding how the process of educational management occurs and its relevance. Given the information presented throughout the work, it can be concluded that democratic management seeks to develop or apply a positive relationship between the main components of the educational process (teachers, school administrators, students, parents). Thus granting a broader view of what can be introduced into school routines in order to obtain a positive performance or development of students.
