The construction of knowledge and its deepening throughout the life of the individual inserted in the education system, whether private or public, occurs systematically and mediated by teachers, colleagues and in a more personal way, in the recognition of their potential, through the mental process triggered by information triggered by readings, observations and experiences. This article aims to contribute to the thought that the recognition of one's own skills and abilities can influence the learning process in higher education students in a Pedagogy course, in the sense of relating self-knowledge with the motivation for dedication to the study and deepening of specific areas of Pedagogy.
