THE TIRADENTES GYM AND COLLEGE IN THE ARACAJUANO EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT (1962-1967)

Abstract

This article presents partial results of the Master's in Education dissertation on the history of Colégio Tiradentes, in Aracaju-Sergipe, during the time it operated in its first headquarters located on road Laranjeiras. This private College, of a non-denominational nature, operated in this first headquarters between 1962 to 1967. When defining this temporal delimitation of the research, we considered two moments as fundamental for the consolidation of the institution: the year it opened in 1962, until the year it was transferred to its second headquarters in 1967. The research is inserted in the thematic field of History of Education, particularly in the area of ​​History of Educational Institutions and aims to highlight the consolidation of the Gymnasium and College from the educational context of Aracaju at the time it was inaugurated.
