Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – ADHD, according to DSM – V, is a neurobiological disorder and not a learning disorder, however there is confusion due to its symptoms being similar, that is, lack of attention, concentration, difficulty to read and be literate. In this work, we propose that the reader understand what ADHD is like, what visible symptoms may be noticed by the family and school. Early diagnosis facilitates intervention and development, as only a specialized professional will be able to identify the symptoms of ADHD. For this, there are protocols to be applied, anamnesis carried out with parents and teachers, in order to identify and point out what damages are to be initially treated. The article provides guidance on how families and professionals can work in partnership to improve the quality of life of ADHD patients. It is known that organization and routine are not part of the life of an ADHD person, however, it is necessary for them to have someone in their life to help with their day-to-day tasks, with this objective in this article the content contains a table with daily routines, which can be changed according to each person's needs. Finally, we emphasize the importance of the family in the interaction between school, therapies and health professionals when necessary. To carry out this work, we chose readings, research on websites and experience in clinical care and school work.
