Abstract

Artificial intelligence is reshaping social scenarios, educational methods and human experiences. Different applications in the educational field are presented, ranging from personalized learning platforms to automated assessment systems. The present study was developed with the objective of discussing and identifying potential aspects of artificial intelligence for education, in addition to the challenges of its implementation in the educational process. Recent trends in pedagogical process automation highlight the influence of artificial intelligence with the use of assets, such as personalization of the learning experience, access to abundant educational resources, immediate feedback with Chatbots, adaptive learning, decision-making support, interactive learning and supporting diversity of skills. In this context, it is considered that the integration between artificial intelligence and education articulates practices and potential, to provide means for the development of elastic and creative mental capacity in favor of society, for which new literacies must be integrated. The challenge is to develop AI systems integrated with educational practices oriented towards human development, which go beyond data collection and analysis and which include educational actors who reinforce intellectual skills. Therefore, ensuring an efficient and continuous learning process is a strategy that must be employed for the success of pedagogical activities and the development of students.
