The objective of this study was to report the incidence of gestational and congenital syphilis between the years 2018 and 2021, based on data from the portal of the Department of Information and Informatics of SUS (DATASUS) in patients from Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil. A retrospective descriptive study was carried out by collecting data made available by the Ministry of Health. 581 cases of syphilis were reported in pregnant women, whose average age was 27.7 years, showing a high prevalence of primary syphilis (31%) when compared to other classifications of the disease. Congenital syphilis showed a decrease between the years studied, with 86 cases of the disease reported in newborns. Among these, 81.3% had a favorable outcome (live births) while 3.4% of cases were declared stillbirth/abortion. With this study, it was possible to observe that the number of cases of gestational and congenital syphilis during the years studied remained stable and decreasing. Despite this, there is still a failure in the search for prenatal care and the consequent diagnosis and treatment of the disease, which indicates some weak points in prenatal care and pregnant women's health.
