Abstract

This scientific review presents a comprehensive analysis of women's gynecological health, covering everything from puberty to menopause. By examining current approaches and future perspectives, several critical areas that impact women's reproductive health and overall well-being were identified. The study begins by exploring menstrual health, highlighting interventions to promote menstrual cycle regularity and addressing common disorders. In relation to modern contraception, options, efficacy, safety and accessibility challenges are discussed, recognizing the importance of reproductive autonomy. Analysis of infertility and reproductive treatments emphasizes common causes, therapeutic strategies, and psychosocial challenges faced by couples. Prenatal care emerges as crucial in preventing pregnancy complications, with an emphasis on the importance of equitable access to this care. Menopause and reproductive aging are covered, highlighting strategies for managing symptoms, the implications for fertility, and the crucial role of ongoing reproductive health education throughout life. Technological innovations such as personalized medicine, genomics and artificial intelligence offer new diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities, but raise ethical and accessibility considerations. Finally, the review highlights current challenges, including disparities in access to gynecological care and knowledge gaps in specific conditions. Final considerations emphasize the need for an integrated and equitable approach to promoting gynecological health, integrating current approaches and anticipating future advances towards a more informed and patient-centered clinical practice.
