Abstract

This article focuses on learning fractions through the use of games. The teaching of mathematics in school spaces is considered by many students and teachers to be complex in nature. When thinking of a way to redirect this idea, many professionals in the field of exact sciences have sought studies that address the topic. This article arises from the need to understand how practices developed through games contribute to the teaching and learning of fractions. This research uses a qualitative approach and bibliographical survey. It aims to develop students' skills in identifying, classifying and solving activities with fractions. Upon concluding this research, it was evident that the use of games to teach fractions contributes significantly to the child's learning, increases the capacity for logical reasoning and awakens the child's interest in participating in activities, in addition to creating a greater bond with the discipline.
