The article addresses Brazilian constitutionalism, highlighting its importance in consolidating the country's political, legal, and ideological foundations. Initially, it offers a brief general analysis of these aspects through specialized bibliography on the topic. The research was conducted using a qualitative method, and the methodology involved the examination of theses, doctrines, legislation, and reputable journals, primarily through the SciELO website. From a political perspective, Brazilian constitutionalism is marked by the pursuit of democratic representation and the guarantee of fundamental rights. Legally, the article emphasizes how Brazil adopted and adapted universal principles, such as due process of law, individual rights and guarantees, and the supremacy of the Constitution. This legal evolution is evidenced by changes in the constitutions over the years, reflecting the sociopolitical and cultural transformations of the country. From an ideological standpoint, the text underscores the influence of social movements, such as the "Diretas Já," and the role of constitutionalism in consolidating a nation committed to democratic values and respect for human rights. As a result, the article reinforces the significance of constitutionalism as a tool for affirming political, legal, and ideological values in Brazil. At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of maintaining constant dialogue about these values, ensuring the evolution and refinement of the Brazilian Democratic Rule of Law.
