Abstract

Early Childhood Education is gaining a place of interest in society every day, as children are being included in Early Childhood Education at an increasingly earlier age for various reasons.
Games play a fundamental role in early childhood education, as they provide a series of cognitive, social and emotional benefits to children. The problem lies in the fact that, in many cases, the educational system still underestimates the importance of these playful activities, prioritizing formal education from an early age (Lira, 2014). This can result in children who are less motivated, have difficulty concentrating and have less capacity for social interaction. Therefore, it is crucial to justify the inclusion of games and games in early childhood education, as these activities contribute significantly to the child's integral development.
