The objective of this article was a brief discussion about collaborative learning as a pedagogical didactic as well as its importance for the active participation of students in the school environment. This teaching aims to actively involve students in the educational process, promoting the exchange of ideas, teamwork and the construction of knowledge jointly. To achieve this objective, we use bibliographical research, using the innovative theoretical contributions of Piaget and Vygotsky, more specifically, their contributions to the development of collaborative learning methodologies. As a result, we examine the benefits and practical strategies of this approach, seeking to understand how student participation can be optimized to create a more engaging and educational school environment.
