SYSTEMATIC INTIMIDATION: PSYCHOSOCIAL IMPACTS RESULTING FROM BULLYING IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

It is well known that the practice of bullying is a phenomenon that suggests different acts of violence, becoming a global and very current problem. Although school is not the only place where these acts are carried out, there is no denying that this is where the largest number of cases occur. It is necessary for education professionals to be prepared for this reality, making it possible to identify the situation, which can easily be confused with games typical of the age group of those involved. The present work, based on the need to discuss the proposed topic, seeks to highlight characteristics of bullying, provide an understanding of its versions and damages, as well as the role of parents in these cases, and in the same sense, present an analysis of measures adopted by the State to protect children and adolescents, in parallel with the provisions of the Child and Adolescent Statute, seeking to outline suggestions for ways to combat this practice in the school environment.
