STRATEGIC PLANNING IN EDUCATION: A THEORETICAL-SCIENTIFIC STUDY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONS

The article presents the problem and general objective of describing the importance of strategic planning for school organizations. And, how to conceptualize, characterize and specifically understand strategic planning according to techno-political pedagogical definitions of the management of school organizations. The methodology is qualitative, the technique is documentary-bibliographic analysis with a comparison list. Firstly, we monitor the origin of the words planning and strategy, which are transformed into concepts according to the assumption of theoretical and practical positions; therefore, its historical contextualization. Then, the implications that come with developing a planning matrix with its indicators and objectives in general and educational objectives in particular, which thus denote positions regarding the pedagogical exercise model. Which requires considering the link between efficiency, effectiveness, evaluation and effectiveness of school management. The main results stand out: that educational planning is a strategy of technical and political intervention; that pedagogical political planning as political action takes positions that develop practices with certain guidelines; these oscillate between the traditional Jesuit pastoral and reproductive model; and, a critical mediating perspective. Therefore, differentially defining the identity of strategic planning for school management.
