Abstract

It is understood that discipline is a noble behavior in a person, however, a series of circumstances impose challenges on teachers who are faced with undisciplined students. The reason for these behaviors is multifaceted and this article seeks to understand their consequences and how the family can act to minimize the effects of school indiscipline. The general objective of this research is to analyze the consequences of indiscipline at school, examining its impacts on the educational environment, students' academic performance and interpersonal relationships in the school context. In this sense, bibliographical research was chosen to seek light from specialist authors both in Brazil and abroad who have studied the subject. It is understood that effectively tackling indiscipline at school demands an integrated approach, which involves not only pedagogical practices in the school environment, but also the active and conscious collaboration of families.
