Abstract

In this article, a comprehensive analysis of school attacks was carried out, seeking to understand their origins, impacts and preventive and response measures. The study included comprehensive literature reviews, examining the global history of these incidents, their underlying causes, psychological and social profiles of the perpetrators, as well as the emotional impacts on victims, survivors and witnesses. The importance of the government's role in prevention was highlighted, with a focus on formulating public policies, financing school safety programs and training professionals. Furthermore, the need for cooperation between schools, communities and law enforcement authorities in effectively implementing safety protocols was emphasized. The results highlighted the complexity of the problem and the need for multidisciplinary approaches, including the promotion of mental health in schools. It was concluded that the government plays a proactive role in prevention, with the implementation of security measures and the development of effective policies. These measures aim to create safe educational environments, protecting the school community from potential threats and contributing to a healthy and productive learning environment.
