Abstract

This article addresses the role of the State in recognizing and regulating same-sex families and adoption by same-sex couples. The study analyzes the evolution of public policies and legislation in different countries, as well as the challenges and advances faced in this context. Furthermore, it explores the implications of these policies for the well-being of children adopted by same-sex couples and for the promotion of equal rights. The present work aims to analyze the evolution of public policies related to the same-sex family and adoption by same-sex couples in different countries. The present work deals with a bibliographical review involving consultation of books, scientific magazines, articles, Internet sites and other relevant sources. The results show us the importance of legal and social recognition of families formed by same-sex couples and provide insights for improving public policies in this regard.
