Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FM) is a chronic condition characterized by widespread pain, fatigue and other debilitating symptoms. As there are several different symptoms, treatment by pharmacological means depends on the symptom of each individual, and there is no single recommended treatment, with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments being used. The relationship between nutrition and FM, although complex, has gained prominence as evidence emerges suggesting that certain dietary patterns and specific nutrients can influence the symptoms and progression of the disease. Nutrition is a possible complement in the treatment of FM. In this context, this work aims to investigate the role of nutrition as a non-pharmacological complement in the treatment of fibromyalgia through a literature review by searching online scientific research platforms such as PubMed, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs) and the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Using keywords in Portuguese, such as "Fibromyalgia", "Nutrition" and "Treatment". Eight articles were selected that corroborated the synthesis of the objective. In conclusion, diet plays an important role in the management of FM, and recent studies have investigated the influence of different dietary approaches on symptom relief, with success in managing the disease.
