Abstract

Cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells and its treatment varies due to the molecular characteristics of each type, one notable therapeutic option is the use of oral vinorelbine, a Vinca alkaloid that offers enhanced safety and administration convenience with lower toxicity. This study proposes a literature review based on research conducted in Pubmed, SciELO, and Google Scholar. It is evident that pharmaceutical care plays a crucial role in supervision, improving adherence, managing side effects and drug interactions, as well as guiding appropriate management and providing support and safety during treatment. Vinorelbine demonstrates significant potential as a medication, but further research is needed to validate the pharmacist's role in improving the quality of life for patients using it, underscoring the importance of investments in this area.
