The menstrual cycle and fertility perception methods are still little discussed, both in social and academic circles, few theories support this period in terms of women's reproductive health and its impact on daily life. This article aims to understand women's physiological issues regarding self-knowledge of the menstrual cycle and its impacts on daily life and quality of life, in an attempt to understand the importance of knowing and understanding how your own body works. The research is justified by the need for studies on the nursing educational process inherent to women's health in terms of knowledge of their own body and life stages, including the reproductive cycle. The proposal is to promote knowledge through nurses in an attempt to highlight basic and physiological issues of the female body, and apply knowledge based on their scientific knowledge, to generate self-knowledge. The study will be based on research into the importance of nursing professionals working from a health education perspective in promoting educational actions aimed at providing information to women about self-knowledge about the menstrual cycle.
