PERSPECTIVES OPENED BY THE INCREASE OF TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS FOR TEACHING IN THE PANDEMIC PERIOD: AN ANALYSIS FROM THE TEACHER’S PERSPECTIVE

The social isolation experienced with the Covid-19 pandemic has widened distances and further deepened the chasm of social disparities, especially in countries like Brazil, whose inequality is expressed in almost every aspect of life. It is not by chance that education suffered a strong impact, bequeathing to children and young people a considerable setback that was only not greater thanks to the increase of new educational tools to the practice of teaching. With a view to this issue, this article aims to discuss the importance of technology for teaching and reflect on possibilities opened up from the recent health emergency. The text is based on the recent literature and the application of interview scripts to two professionals in the area of education, with different age, area of knowledge and level of education, who teach in the cities of Recife-PE and Vitória de Santo Antão-PE. By way of conclusion, brief comments are made on the importance of the education professional in conducting technological growth in the classroom, as well as a rational and conscious use of technology in favor of student learning.
