TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT FROM THE PROFESSIONAL NETWORK OF PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN THE STATE OF MARANHÃO

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate, through socio-economic data (social, demographic, institutional political, economic, and environmental), the territorial development of the State of Maranhão through the Professional Network of Professional and Technological Education. As a conclusion, it was found that the level of territorial development is a social construction process, and that innovation is the main strategy for development in the territories. Therefore, it recognizes the importance oh Federal Institutes in Technological training processes as a governmental strategy for knowledge creation and transfer.
