TECHNOLOGIES IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING IN AN EXPERIENCE WITH EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS

Education has been fostered by movements that involve technology with new teaching goals and objectives, especially in mathematics education, where there are a variety of applications, programs, games and tools available on electronic devices. The research verifies the need for and importance of technologies that can contribute to the teaching of mathematics. Educational Robotics has the proposition to study education immersed in technology and in this research with Educational Robotics kits. The research presents activities with the introduction to programming, programming logic, mathematical logic, introduction to Arduino, basic concepts of electronics, assembly of basic and intermediate kits of Robotics presenting the link between mathematics and technologies. As methodological procedures for data production in the research scenario, videos of the students' work in the observed classes, as well as the researcher's notes, were used. The analysis of the data shows a thinking mediated by technologies of the work with robotics kits, contributes directly in the logical-mathematical thinking of the students. Acquired concepts aims at a reflection and debugging of mathematical concepts studied. The result pointed to a significant contribution of technology in teaching, especially for the teaching of mathematics, aimed at solving problems and building knowledge.
