In this article we seek to address which factors led students to attend and complete High School. We seek to make a theoretical deepening dialogue to verify the conception of students in relation to the valuation of the teaching profession? What leads students to enroll in and finish high school and not to practice teaching? Therefore, this problematization makes us reflect the situation in which our teachers live, which is why many do not have the desire to realize the dream of being an active teacher and to follow in other areas, even because of poor remuneration, which discourages the teacher. high school student in which he wants to practice. We chose as research field Manoel Bacelar High School Reference School in the municipality of Riacho das Almas, Pernambuco, we used a basic research, descriptive and qualiquantitative nature.
