EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT: NECESSARY REFLECTIONS

This study aimed to develop a reflection on the theme of emotional intelligence, given the school context. For its consolidation, a bibliographic survey was carried out, which characterized the study as descriptive and qualitative. The study revealed the importance of the theme in the area of Education, considering that the capacity for self-awareness of our emotions and of the collective, knowing how to manage them, is a way of acting for teachers at school, establishing healthy relationships with students. Therefore, studies that focus on cognitive content are indispensable in education. In this way, the present aims to contribute to fostering future research that will be necessary for deepening and that may provide debates about practices in the educational scenario, since the theme of emotional intelligence in the area of Education is recent.
