This article aims to reflect on the role of Psychology in the intervention with women victims of domestic violence, making a parallel with Spirituality/Religiosity (SR). For this purpose, a Narrative Review of Literature research was carried out in scientific databases such as Scielo, Pepsic, Academic Google and specialized literature in the area. The search descriptors included the words “Psychology”; “Violence against women”; "psychotherapy"; "Physical violence"; "psychological violence"; “domestic violence” “Religiosity”; and “Spirituality”. Domestic violence is that which happens at home and is practiced by a member of the victim's family, which can be characterized as physical, sexual, psychological abuse, neglect and abandonment. All these types of violence can cause very serious psychological consequences in the victim, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, insomnia, suicidal ideation, obsessive-compulsive disorder, guilt, etc. Spirituality can be defined as a human propensity to seek meaning in life through concepts that transcend the tangible. Religiosity involves systematizing the worship and doctrine shared by a group. E/R has significant implications for prevalence, diagnosis, treatment, clinical outcomes, disease prevention, but with great potential for understanding specific processes such as coping strategies, attachment, subjective elaboration and the attribution of meaning to life , which lead to an increase in motivation to face and overcome crises. Thus, E/R can significantly contribute, together with Psychology techniques and interventions, for the psychosocial assistance of women victims of domestic violence.
